About Us
The Start
Hi! I'm Sara, owner and botanical artist (i.e. florist) at Flora Samara. A lifetime of pursing the outdoors and tendency to create coalesced in 2018 while assisting in my first wedding floral venture, and it's only grown from there. As a Dillon, Montana based event studio florist, we serve southwest Montana, the northern Rockies, and beyond.
The Focus
Our approach is to bloom beyond conventional boundaries. We're motivated to accentuate and personalize the space with detailed floral garnishes that both beautify and tell the client's story. We focus life events such as on weddings, elopements, banquets, and more.
The Roots
My background in ecology and botany inspires my textural, garden style, evoking natural elements to organically connect the space. I seek to build an authentic sense of connection through our actions and environment: I source and forage for local materials whenever possible; I compost blooms throughout the process; I repurpose vessels and mechanics; I donate excess floral designs after the event to senior centers. My goal is to create an authentic and sustainable process at every step.
The Specialty
Be adventurous: my specialty is often adding floral touches in unique and interconnected ways, like using homegrown blooms from loved one's garden, to expressive floral body art, and even rose petals drops from an airplane to shower guests! It's more than flowers, it's an interconnection between people and their surroundings.
